I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love art. I loved to draw when I was a child, and was so proud to win a children’s art contest at the company where my father worked when I was 8 years old.
When I was in college, a friend’s mother was working on a large oil painting and I watched in fascination as it developed. I asked a lot of questions and gushed over it. She gifted the painting to me. It still hangs in my living room.
On vacations we spend hours in art museums in new places. And every year since I retired, I have taken art classes at various places, including the Delaware Art Museum and OLLI.
I enjoy trying different media and different painting styles. Luckily I have an extra bedroom in my home, because I have soooo many art supplies and books about art!
